I see comments say Perseus didn’t practice or all he had were break records. I knew Perseus…I’m friends with Presyce and met the Turntable Technicans through him. Perseus even stayed at my house before the Chicago DMC and he def spent the whole night practicing on my set up. Not only did Persus practice all the time but they all did during that era (I don’t just mean the Techinicans…but everyone on this level was). They all loved deejaying because it was so competitive at the time. I can’t tell you the amount of practice sessions I’ve been to or sat in on during that era. They all practice their ass off. That said Perseus just had so many dope creative routines back then that were funky and technical and the average person in the crowd could rock with even if they didn’t get exactly what he was doing it sounded good. Aight Chill is def one of my fav juggles, also Babu’s Blind Alley, A Trak’s Missy Elliot routine… too many good routines from that era now that I think of it lol Btw those Platter Pirates vhs battles were fire the ones I had were the in person battles though.

For all new beat jugglers watching this, this is an advanced pattern of movement. I would suggest learning and mastering Shorkut's Strobe/Chase pattern first. (Babu and Melo D have a video breaking down that pattern.) It will provide you with the proper timing to execute what Mike C is demonstrating.

good point regarding routines made on vinyl v serato. I think the 'constraints' of vinyl bred more creativity, especially when it comes to juggling.

I do love this routine for how creative and different it is in it's arrangement and I love the sample sources. but the composition in his Get your freak on routine is just incredible... especially when it blends so satisfyingly into the trans Europe express scratch routine like on the 2001 US dmc showcase. as with so many of his routines it's amazing how much of the record he uses.

And then he made a smaller version. I have ordered mine, it should get here next week. I've also seen someone who made a custom motorized one, so it's possible. I might look into the possibility of making a motorized breakout box if it's not too complicated (a motor inside the pocket sized version might be pushing it).
